Same Truffle, New Shape

Straight from my kitchen, here's the latest recipe to make its way onto the blog. As always, it's rooted in Indian flavors, easy to make, and perfect for sharing around your table.

Cardamom-Spiced White Chocolate & Coconut Modak Truffles

Creamy white chocolate ganache, toasted coconut and fragrant cardamom come together in these irresistible modak truffles, a playful take on the flavors of a classic Ganesh Utsav sweet.

Shaped into little modaks, they’re rich, delicate and wonderfully easy to make, with no dough to roll or elaborate cooking involved.

Make them for Ganesh Utsav, or roll the mixture into round coconut-coated truffles for an indulgent sweet treat!

The Shape Says It All!

From Truffle to Modaks

For Ganesh Utsav, the shape matters! The modak is traditionally offered to Lord Ganesha. Since these truffles are inspired by the classic sweet, I wanted them to have that unmistakable modak shape too.

A simple silicone modak mold is all it takes. Press in the soft truffle mixture, gently unmold, and voilà!

If you want your truffles to look like mine, this is the little kitchen tool you’ll need.

If you make this concoction, I’d love to see it!
